Procedures
As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, Dr. El-Hakim an Dr. Makhoul and Dr. Gigliotti manage a wide variety of problems relating to the teeth, mouth, and facial regions. They practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgeries ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom teeth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical involvement in order to maximize patients’ comfort.

X-Rays
If your dentist or family doctor has taken X-rays or a CT-scan in the last 12 months, you may ask to have them forwarded to our office either via email or regular mail. If you think there might not be enough time to receive them before your scheduled appointment, you may pick them up and bring them directly to the M3L clinic. In the eventuality that additional films are needed, they can be taken at our facility.
First Visit
Your initial appointment will be tailored around your needs and consists of a consultation with Dr. El-Hakim, Dr. Makhoul or Dr. Gigliotti in order to plan the next steps, either involving a diagnosis or looking at treatment options for an already diagnosed condition. In some rare cases, surgery can be performed the same day as the consultation. However, if a patient presents with a complex medical history or requires a more substantial treatment plan, it will likely be done in two steps, first a preliminary evaluation and then another appointment to provide the surgical treatment.
Hospital Care
Sometimes, when a complicated surgery is anticipated or in the event the medical risks involved are significant we may choose to perform certain procedures in hospital settings. Though most procedures in our clinic can be performed on an outpatient basis, following discussion with your surgeon Dr. El-Hakim, Dr. Makhoul or Dr. Gigliotti, a more complicated procedure may require an overnight stay at a hospital for your safety.
